Celebrating the Heart of LES:
Honoring Our Incredible Volunteers
At Landstuhl Elementary School, student success is powered not only by dedicated educators and staff, but also by an extraordinary community of volunteers who give their time, talents, and energy to make our school a truly special place.
Today, LES proudly hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast to recognize and thank more than 100 volunteers who have supported our students, families, and staff throughout the school year. Their contributions have helped create meaningful experiences, strengthen school-family connections, and foster the welcoming community that makes LES such an exceptional place to learn and grow.
This year alone, our volunteers have contributed more than 20,000 combined hours of service. Their impact can be seen in every corner of our school, from classrooms and playgrounds to family events and special programs.
One of our most valued partnerships is with the dedicated team from the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC). Throughout the year, LRMC volunteers have supported our Physical Education program, read with students, participated in school activities like Field Day, and served as positive role models for our children. Their commitment to our school has enriched learning opportunities and strengthened the connection between our military community and our students.
The LES Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA) has also worked tirelessly to create memorable experiences for students and families. Through countless hours of planning, organizing, and volunteering, the PTSA has brought numerous events to life, including the ever popular "Paint Nights with Ms. Poppe", Game Nights, Paint Nights, STEM Night, school dances, the Back-to-School Bash, Field Day, Fun Runs, and many other activities that have brought our community together.
These events do far more than provide entertainment. They help students build friendships, encourage family engagement, strengthen school pride, and create lasting memories. The enthusiasm and dedication of our volunteers help ensure that LES students have access to enriching experiences that extend beyond the classroom.
The success of Landstuhl Elementary School is a reflection of the incredible support we receive from our families, community partners, and volunteers. Their generosity creates opportunities, inspires students, and helps foster a culture of belonging where every child can thrive.
As we celebrate another successful school year, we extend our deepest gratitude to every volunteer who has invested their time and heart into our school community. Your service makes a direct and lasting impact on the lives of our students, and we are grateful for all that you do.
Thank you for helping make Landstuhl Elementary School a place where students, families, and community members come together to learn, grow, and succeed.
