Counselor Appreciation Week at Landstuhl Elementary School
During Counselor Appreciation Week, Landstuhl Elementary School proudly celebrated our two amazing school counselors and the vital role they play in supporting our students and families. School counselors help guide students’ academic, social, and emotional growth, especially within our military-connected community. We honored our full-time counselor, Ms. Susie Strasner, for her decades of experience and global service with DoDEA, and welcomed Mr. Robert Joe, our new part-time counselor supporting grades 4 and 5. Our entire LES community extends a heartfelt thank you for their dedication, care, and commitment to our students.
Landstuhl Elementary Hosts Schoolwide Spelling Bee
Landstuhl Elementary School hosted its annual schoolwide spelling bee with 14 top spellers from grades 3–5 competing after earning first place in their classrooms. The competition went multiple rounds and showcased strong spelling skills and determination from all participants. Fifth grader Riyan won the spelling bee for the second year in a row and will represent Landstuhl ES at the DoDEA Europe PTSA-sponsored regional competition in Aviano, Italy. If he advances, Riyan will go on to represent DoDEA Europe at the National Spelling Bee.
