LES School News
Hello Lion Families! Welcome to Spring in Germany! For those of you new to our area, this time of year can really bring some unsettled weather. We need jackets in the morning and short sleeves in the afternoon. So, many of our students tend to take those jackets off in random places around the school and forget them. Our lost and found keeps growing. If your little one is missing a jacket, mittens, hat, scarf, lunch box, etc. Please take some time to check our lost and found just outside the cafeteria.
Also, with the Spring weather and close to Spring Break, students need many reminders about being respectful, responsible, and kind at school. Please reinforce the need for students to be respectful, responsible, and kind all day, every day at school and on the bus during your discussions at home, this helps our teachers to be able to focus on instruction. A kind word goes a long way to help someone who may not be feeling so happy. When we work together to be kind, we make school a great place to be.
April is the Month of the Military Child, and we look forward to celebrating all our military-connected students. Please watch out for details for upcoming events and activities to celebrate all our military-connected students.

Roaring into Reading: Make it a Wild Adventure
Is reading a part of your child's homework? Whether you're reading to your cub or they're reading to you, talking about the story helps build comprehension and is an important part of developing their thinking skills.
Fun ways to Chat About Stories

- What happened when...?
- What might happen next?
- What if they...?
- Why do you think they made that choice?
- This character reminds me of ...
- How is this story similar to/different from another one we've read?
